Our materials focus is high quality at low prices. Our hardwood materials are kiln dried and undergo an end of cycle high heat sterilization process. We do however utilize appointments to better serve each of our customers. We understand many like to come and go as they please, but our model and the reasoning behind it is pretty simple. I want to save you time. I want to save you money so you can make more projects and earn/save more per project. I also want to provide you the best & most honest advice I can.

Hence, we do appointments to largely eliminate unnecessary waiting, to provide a one on one service encounter with a subject matter expert, and to resultantly offer lower prices accomplished through reduced overhead. You probably won’t walk away and say, “They sure do have a great sign.” Although, we do hope you walk away having had a pretty good time. Plus, had all your questions answered directly and respectfully.

Presently, we have project ready material available in some form or fashion in the following wood species: Black Walnut, Maple/Ambrosia Maple, White Oak, Ash, Cherry, Poplar/Spalted Poplar, Pecan, Hickory, Eastern Red Cedar, Cypress & Southern Yellow Pine. Occasionally, we have other domestic wood species offerings.

If you’re looking for some statement porch posts, beams, or even a one of a kind custom mantel, then we can help with that also. These posts milled at 8” x 8” x 10ft are available for $250 / each. Several local retail competitors sell Canadian or Western Cedar nominal 8X8X10s (actual 7.25 x 7.25 x 120) at well over $500 /each. We additionally offer basic math skills to figure out the better deal. These are not treated pine, which is cheaper. If you’re looking for treated pine prices, then our best non-snarky advice is to buy treated pine. No, we don’t carry treated lumber. If you want 6x6 posts, then we carry those too.

Eastern Red Cedar Boards/Lumber

These are cut at actual size, so healthier than most retail setting lumber, where a 2x4x8 is really 1.5x3.5x8 by example. These are also not kiln dried at this price point. Suitable for most outdoor project needs.

Mantel Cuts

We routinely have 50-100 or more mantel cuts in process and inventory. We commonly carry mantel cuts in up to half a dozen different domestic species. DIY mantle cuts typically begin around $100 and up depending on both size and wood species. We also offer custom woodworking services if you want a turnkey floating or other type mantel built.

Our options include, but are not limited to live edge, dimensional or beam, carved or hewn, epoxy void fills, and much more. We can also provide finished mantels with hanging hardware including invisible floating bracket, undermount visible brackets, carved same species undermount corbels, and more.
